As a leader, you are hard-working, dedicated and inspirational to our employees. However, if you are not familiar with basic Employment Law knowledge, you can also become a devastating liability. Your actions, responses, decisions and comments can spark claims of harassment, discrimination and more.Not complying with employment laws can lead to costly lawsuits and non-compliance fines. With the proper training, managers will become familiar with those laws and the general practices essential to maintaining a workplace free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
During this presentation, we will discuss the core details of the different employment laws you need to be familiar with in your managerial role. Your knowledge will then be tested with real world scenarios on many of these laws.
After attending, you should have enough knowledge to be able to consider the requirements of employment laws and organizational policies when interacting with your employees. The purpose of these laws and policies is to create a safe, fair and productive workplace for all employees. As a manager, you play an important role in helping our organization comply with employment laws. You are our first line of defense against employment lawsuits.
