Exploring The Coven learning library
The Coven is best known as a coworking space for small businesses and entrepreneurs looking for office space, but the organization has also developed a massive library of on-demand learning resources to help entrepreneurs learn and grow.
Elevate Hennepin, through an investment from Hennepin County, is pleased to partner with The Coven to offer this digital resource, meaning any Hennepin County business owner, entrepreneur, or resident exploring a business idea can tap into The Coven’s online training, discussions, and connect with others at no cost.
“All Hennepin County business owners are eligible for free virtual memberships,” said Liz Giel, a co-founder and partner in The Coven. “So, they can be part of our thriving Coven community, and access the whole library of educational content that we've developed.”
Liz said there are “hundreds of hours of content” available on the site, and there’s something for every entrepreneur at every stage of business.
“We naturally attract a lot of entrepreneurs to The Coven and you know, some of them are in the early days of starting something and others are moving into kind of a new chapter of growth,” said Liz. “Two of our most popular programs online are Build a Business and Grow a Business—each fulfill two key phases of our community.”
Other popular courses include a checklist-format guide called Build a Business in 28 Days and Crowdfunding Crash Course for members looking to lean on community capital platforms or tactics. Liz said financial wellness courses are also essential for many businesses looking to solidify the financial structure of their businesses.
Lastly, leadership has become a big topic of conversation at The Coven.
“Folks want to understand how to be a strong leader that makes sure staff feels valued, included, and has a sense of belonging in the workplace,” said Liz. “A number of our programs like Radical Leadership and Becoming Boss are focused on folks at varying levels of leadership that are looking to grow their skills.”
Whether you’re starting, growing, or looking to develop your skills, Liz says there is something for everyone.
