Small business advocacy workshop

Social Enterprise MSP is excited to bring the Twin Cities impact community together at Smart Set for this special FREE workshop on small business advocacy in partnership with Main Street Alliance.

Small business owners are some of the most trusted messengers in America — but too often, our voices are drowned out by corporate lobbyists. The 1,000 Main Streets Academy is a two-hour, hands-on training that equips entrepreneurs like you with the tools to influence policy and protect your business.

In this fast-paced workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Turn your business story into a powerful advocacy tool.
  • Build strong relationships with elected officials.
  • Mobilize other small business owners for collective impact.
  • Plug into campaigns that shape the future of Main Street, including implementation of paid family & medical leave, and fighting for better healthcare.

This training will be co-led by Shawn Phetteplace, National Campaigns Director, and local Main Street Alliance leaders.
